Aims & Scope

A fundamental element of a scholarly mission is to provide a comprehensive platform to produce high-quality research articles that advance a profession. The Philippine Journal of Physical Therapy (PhJPT) strives to identify, publish, and recognize research studies in physical therapy and related fields, with the expressed aim to improve patient care through the elevation of physical therapist education and practice.

PhJPT publishes original works in all methodologies and forms of analysis. Potential article forms include applied research (qualitative and quantitative), case studies, clinical treatment studies, informative articles, and research protocols. While preference is given to topics grounded in professionalism in physical therapy, clinical reasoning, evidence-informed practice, and interprofessional collaboration, PhJPT accepts submissions of research and scholarly analysis articles on a range of topics affecting the practice of physical therapy, including but not limited to the topics listed below. In addition, we encourage authors to submit papers related to emerging practice areas (for example, robotics or regenerative rehabilitation) or other scholarly pursuits such as papers on implementation science, knowledge translation or health policy.
